The WayBack Machine

Are task was to find 3 websites on the WayBack machine and compare the older versions to the newer looking websites and also compare the coding of the websites because this is a web class after all.

YouTube

The first layout of youtube in 2005 was a way different format than the one today.

The source code of youtube 05' was a different form of HTML coding.

YouTube Now

Youtube looks official after being bought by google, the site has an easier way to watch videos and enjoy them.
The code is a lot more beefier than the older one, which means that there is a lot more information within the site.

Yahoo

Old yahoo looked good for its time, i think? its much more colorful and more 80's like

There was a lot of links on that one page with barely anything on it

Yahoo Now

Now that yahoo has grown so has the website, with more news than a search engine.

The code looks more complex but it really isn't

Twitter
Twitter looks like its time period, looks like an 8 year old tried to make a website.

The code looks good though only having a little on the page.

Twitter Now

As the #1 social media site, its gotta look professional, and it does that very well. It has the right age group of teens and young adults to drag in with a good looking website.

The code has a lot of links for the different profiles on the main page.

The Purpose of this is to have an archive of internet websites and they way they looked.

The internet archive (https://archive.org/index.php) also holds archives for text, video, audio, software, and video files from years ago.

I like that you can find much more than just how websites looked long ago.

Final Post

For are final in e9, we had to create a product and sell it to investors just like in the show Shark Tank. So we had to go back through the three strands, video, graphic/web, and animation. This was probably one of the best e9 projects we did and i got to use so many different programs! I was a ESTJ in the myers briggs test. That is the group leader but apparently that didn't happen in this group.

In the video strand, i was staring in the commercial with Carson Dominguez. The video was to show how fast and easy it was to use our product, just by taking a picture! We used Final Cut Pro to edit the video. We used the six shot system as much as we could. I think we could've talked to actually explain what going on.

In the animation part of the project, i did the packaging design or in this case the phone and the app. For this we used SketchUp and after the graphic design strand one of my partners put the finished logo and the 3D text made by someone else.

The only problem we ran into was in the design/web strand. My job was to make the website because no one else wanted to do it, and i barely knew how to do anything on it without instructions so we all thought it wasn't going to be done because no one knew how to do it. But someone in our group finally said they knew how and took the duty of it. I felt bad putting all that weight on her but i give all the credit to the website to her.

PhotoStudy Commercial

PhotoStudy is a "new" app that allows students to complete homework with the snap of a picture! You can even share other work with students through the app as-well. In the commercial I am having a hard time with it and see Carson outside playing and i wanna play out there as well. So i find an app that completes my homework. It works and let me go play outside.
